HammeRuler ... Redesign almost ready!

The previous conversation asked for your help with the HammeRuler commercial ... well, there's a tie, so we need you to break it.

The HammeRuler is convenient. Our research shows that when you're hammering you are more likely to next use a ruler than any other tool. But so what? Well, that's the metric we've found ... it's called Short Measure Acceleration or SMA for short ... SMA says that you can complete your job faster, and get back to the music, the sports, the cooking you enjoy!

What happens to Rizal?

We were strolling at Festival mall last saturday when we saw a T-Shirt stall located on the second floor of the mall. They are offering a variety of custom made t-shirts. While looking on those t-shirts, we saw their model on their standee cabinet... Guess who??? None other than our national hero, Jose Rizal! Gosh! what are they thinking? Where's the respect? Jose Rizal wearing a "Bagets" t-shirt underneath his usual black tuxedo coat!!! and not only that, he's also holding a Happy Days (this is the name of the stall) paper/plastic bag... here's the picture...

I think before an establishment can use a specific person as a model, they should ask first for a consent / permission before they can display it on their stall/store.... do they have the rights??

Citizenship Marketplace...

This is a follow up to the "Citizenship For Sale?" conversation. In the first conversation, many folks were concerned about the morality of selling their own citizenship ... that concern is right on target and it was pleasant to see our dNeeroites question that possibility. However, Nobel Laureate Gary Becker's proposal has to do with the U.S. government selling the right to legal immigration. Can such a proposal work in the U.S. ... could it work for other countries? Can the law of supply and demand work to solve immigration problems?

China Phone N99i...

My brother recently bought a new mobile phone which is a China Phone N99i. It has a big screen and also a touch screen! Wow! it's my first time to see and explore this kind of phone... 1st Live-Action Dragonball Poster with Son Goku Posted

Update on my first post regarding Dragonball the movie...

Here's the latest poster wherein Son Goku wears his traditional orange costume... Good! I hope the movie itself will be a good one too...

Here's the story...

Rear view of leading actor Justin Chatwin in orange gi with kame kanji

The Sankei Shimbun paper has posted the first poster from the Dragonball live-action film that features a main character on Friday. The poster portrays Canadian actor Justin Chatwin (War of the Worlds, The Invisible, Lost television series), who stars as Son Goku, in his familiar orange gi martial arts uniform complete with the kanji for kame ("turtle" for his mentor Master Roshi or Kame Sennin) on the back. Just as in the previous teaser poster, the new poster's Japanese text reads when translated: "The legend comes to life." The new poster also adds the following text: "Opens worldwide at maximum speed on March 13, 2009."

Twentieth Century Fox signed director James Wong (Final Destination, X-Files television series, The One) to adapt Akira Toriyama's shonen fighting manga. Viz Media publishes the original manga in North America, while Funimation distributes the anime version.

I've won! Father's Day Promo....

Last June, I've joined the Father's Day Promo special of Getzmo.com wherein you need to upload your photo with your Dad and put some dedication and luckily I've won! Yipee!!!!

Again, since there office were at Makati, I've ask one of my friend to get it there in my behalf coz I'm here in Paranaque and I can't get it because I have work from Mondays to Fridays and so it's really conflict...

So there, my friend give me my prize and to my surprise I've got Two Stubs from Steak Station at Paranaque which is for free 2 meals each! wOW!

here it is...

So after office hours, me and my officemates decided to claim my prize at Steak Station located at Kanoma Park, President's Avenue, BF Homes, Paranaque.

We arrived there at 7:00pm, I go to the counter and inform the food attendant that I will claim my prize and give them the stubs... The food attendant get my stubs and luckily they know about the contest. So me and my officemates seated at the vacant table outside and wait. After five minutes of waiting, the food attendant approached us and tell us why the stub is a photo copy, so I told her that it's the one given to us from Getzmo and if you look at the signature of Getzmo representative, you can see that the signature is original directly from the ink! So, the food attendant go back inside and after that she then approached us and tell us that what they know is that the stub should be printed in colored and not photocopy and tell us to come back tomorrow coz their boss or owner need to look at the stub and since there boss is not there we just need to leave the stub there and go back again tomorrow.... shucks! So I told the food attendant that were from Las Pinas and we go there to just claim the prize... So she go back again inside, me and my officemates got dismayed with what happened.... After that their head food attendant approached us and told us that it's ok and their boss approved it, and say sorry for what happened... So there, patience... I told her that It's ok... and so she asked us what we would like to have for the steak, rice or mashed potato? at first we choose rice but since we decided for take-out order coz it's raining... we change it to mashed potato.... So we waited for the order...

While waiting for the order we saw a group of people enter the resto after five or ten minutes they served the food on that table... So me and my officemates looked at each other and talk, why they served them first where in fact we came first.... So again, ok patience... maybe because it's a take-out order... so we waited... waited... wait... wait...

wait... Zzzzzzzzzz......... Zzzzzzzzz.....Zzzzzzzzzzz

So there... after forty-five minutes of waiting... they served us our order and we leave the resto, unsatisfied with their service...

We think that it's because we are only claiming the prize that's why they didn't prioritized us as customer which I think is not a good way of treating a customer...

We take some photo's of the food they served us... here it is...

Empty pocket...

Early this morning, we ride a tricycle going to the office when we noticed the driver's pocket... lol! It was empty, you can see it for yourself. Me and my officemate really laugh loud and say "Uy si Manong talagang walang pera...." hehehe.... it's obvious!

hay! it's really very hard to earn money... tsk.. tsk.. tsk... especially these days wherein we encounter oil price hiked, rice shortage and continues economic downfall... what else???! Help!!!!

Dragon Ball Z the Movie - US Version coming soon....

Yes, you've heard it right! there will be a Dragon Ball Z movie which is adapted from the Japanese Manga and Anime. Well for me, from the promo pictures itself, it looks like interesting until we see the full trailer... I think it would be more convincing if the main character would be an Asian Actor...

Based on the popular Japanese manga created by Akira Toriyama, whose work spawned best selling graphic novels, video games and a phenomenally successful television series, Dragonball centers on the heroic Goku, a powerful warrior who protects the Earth from an endless stream of rogues bent on dominating the Universe and controlling the mystical objects from which the film takes its name.

Dragonball stars Justin Chatwin as Goku, James Marsters as Piccolo, Emmy Rossum as Bulma, Chow Yun-Fat as Master Roshi, Jamie Chung as Chi Chi, and Park Joon as Yamcha. The movie arrives in theaters on April 3rd, 2009.

The live-action Dragon Ball Z movie, titled just Dragonball, has expanded its cast to include two more unique additions: Chow Yun-Fat and Emmy Rossum. Justin Chatwin stars as the main character Goku and is joined by James Marsters as Piccolo and Jamie Chung as Chi-Chi. Chow Yun-Fat will play Master Roshi. The film is an epic sci-fi adventure that follows Goku, a warrior alien who protects the Earth from an endless stream of rogues bent on dominating the universe and controlling mystical objects known as Dragon Balls. Of all movies I thought I'd take an interest in, Dragonball never crossed my mind.

The film is currently shooting in Mexico City and Los Angeles under the direction of James Wong (Final Destination, Jet Li's The One, Final Destination 3). The script was also written by Wong and the film is being produced by Kung Fu Hustle director Stephen Chow.

The original Japanese anime Dragon Ball Z series first debuted in 1989. The first run of the English Version of the show began airing in September 1996 on the WB and now runs almost every day on the Cartoon Network. In the movie, a young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather's dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world. Master Roshi, played by Chow Yun-Fat, is Goku's mentor, helping him achieve the highest state of fighting and spiritual powers.

The Five Absolute Worst Foods You Can Eat

By Dr. Joseph Mercola with Rachael Droege

There are no "bad" foods, right? Only food you should eat in moderation? Well, not really. The following foods are so bad for your body that I really can't see any reason to eat them. Not only do they have zero nutritional value, but they also give your body a healthy dose of toxins, which should make the idea of eating them really hard to swallow.

Doughnuts
Doughnuts are fried, full of sugar and white flour and most all varieties contain trans fat. Store-bought doughnuts are made up of about 35 percent to 40 percent trans fat. An average doughnut will give you about 200 to 300 calories, mostly from sugar, and few other nutrients. It's too bad that Americans view doughnuts as a breakfast food as, nutritionally speaking, eating a doughnut is one of the worst ways to start off your day. It will throw off your blood sugar and won't stay with you so you'll be hungry again soon. You are better off eating no breakfast at all, or better yet grabbing a quick glass of Whey Healthier.

Soda
One can of soda has about 10 teaspoons of sugar, 150 calories, 30 to 55 mg of caffeine, and is loaded with artificial food colors and sulphites. I can't think of any good reason to ever have it. The diet varieties are also problematic as they are filled with harmful artificial sweeteners like aspartame. Studies have linked soda to osteoporosis, obesity, tooth decay and heart disease, yet the average American drinks an estimated 56 gallons of soft drinks each year. Plus, drinking all that sugar will likely suppress your appetite for healthy foods, which pave the way for nutrient deficiencies. Soft drink consumption among children has almost doubled in the United States over the last decade, which is not surprising considering that most school hallways are lined with soda-filled vending machines. Schools often make marketing deals with leading soft drink companies such as Coca-Cola from which they receive commissions--based on a percentage of sales at each school--and sometimes a lump-sum payment, in exchange for their students' health. School vending machines can increase the consumption of sweetened beverages by up to 50 or more cans of soda per student per year. If you routinely drink soda--regular or diet--eliminating it from your diet is one of the simplest and most profound health improvements you can make.

French Fries (and Nearly All Commercially Fried Foods)
Potatoes are bad enough when consumed in their raw state, as their simple sugars are rapidly converted to glucose that raises insulin levels and can devastate your health. But when they are cooked in trans fat at high temperatures, all sorts of interesting and very unpleasant things occur. Anything that is fried, even vegetables, has the issue of trans fat and the potent cancer-causing substance acrylamide. Foods that are fried in vegetable oils like canola, soybean, safflower, corn, and other seed and nut oils are particularly problematic. These polyunsaturated fats easily become rancid when exposed to oxygen and produce large amounts of damaging free radicals in the body. They are also very susceptible to heat-induced damage from cooking. What is not commonly known is that these oils can actually cause aging, clotting, inflammation, cancer and weight gain. You can read the article "Secrets of the Edible Oil Industry" for more information. It is theoretically possible to create a more "healthy" French fry if you cook it in a healthy fat like virgin coconut oil. Due to its high saturated fat content, coconut oil is extremely stable and is not damaged by the high temperatures of cooking. This is why coconut oil should be the only oil you use to cook with. I am fond of telling patients that one French fry is worse for your health than one cigarette, so you may want to consider this before you order your next 'Biggie' order.

Chips
Most commercial chips, and this includes corn chips, potato chips, tortilla chips, you name it, are high in trans fat. Fortunately, some companies have caught on to the recent media blitz about the dangers of trans fat and have started to produce chips without trans fat. However, the high temperatures used to cook them will potentially cause the formation of carcinogenic substances like acrylamide, and this risk remains even if the trans fat is removed.

Fried Non-Fish Seafood
This category represents the culmination of non-healthy aspects of food. Fried shrimp, clams, oysters, lobsters, and so on have all the issues of trans fat and acrylamide mentioned above, plus an added risk of mercury. Seafood is loaded with toxic mercury and shellfish like shrimp and lobsters can be contaminated with parasites and resistant viruses that may not even be killed with high heat. These creatures, considered scavenger animals, consume foods that may be harmful for you.
